WHAT ARE THE NEW MEDIA BREAKFASTS ALL ABOUT?

Want to know what all the fuss is about?
Do you have questions about social media?
Does it work for business?
Where do I start in new media?

New or Social Media is on everyone’s lips, we hear references to Twitter, Facebook, Linked-In and other new media tools on a daily basis but, do we really understand them or know what they do? The New Media Breakfast will be a monthly event that introduces you to the various aspects of new media.

Each New Media breakfast will feature specific areas of new media and show live examples of how commercial businesses and non-profit organisations are using these to market themselves online. All presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and a chance to network with other attendees.

Some of the topics we will cover are:

• Social networking - Facebook, Bebo, MySpace etc.
• Niche networking - B2B, B2C and Non-Profit
• Podcasting, RSS and iTunes - Audio and Video
• Viral video and video syndication - YouTube, Viddler, Facebook, iTunes etc
• Blogging
• Micro blogging - Twitter, FriendFeed, Facebook Status Updates etc.
• Live broadcasting - Audio and Video
• Virtual Worlds
• Social Bookmarking and Tagging

These presentations will demonstrate , via live examples, how organisations are effectively using these tools to raise brand awareness, increase brand loyalty and improve customer relationships.
