I would like to make the show as interactive as possible and get as many folks involved as I can.

There's a great bunch of listeners, but I'd like to involve them more.

Any ideas how to make the show more interactive? Would you like to contribute?

I'd love to hear more from you....

And here-in lies one of the toughest challenges for a grass-roots podcaster; getting the listeners involved. I'm always filled with admiration (no, not jealousy) at the Lost 'casts' ability to get dozens of voicemails from their listeners each week. The secret must be a mix of compelling content (over which the producers of the 'casts have no control) and an audience who want to be heard.

What do you think, Paul? (btw, hope the big case goes well)

Getting listeners is tough on its own.
Getting people to contribute even tougher.
It seems a bit like the dance floor.
People will join in more readily if there is already activity.
I guess this is a start.
If you post up about what you are going to be covering and ask for some input?
I know you did that on Twitter about the cameras.

Thanks Paul!

You beat me to it, I'm just settling on the next topic now. The EU seems depressing and a bit heavy really.

I would really like to look at the UK as a whole - accents, perceptions, traits.... what makes us Brits the way we are? What are we like? Why do we have so many accents in such a tiny space?

What are the good and bad things about the UK? I'll be twittering this too - but would love some text / voice mail at paul@podcastpaul.com for those who you would like to input. Please try and keep any audio to a coupe of minutes or so. It'd be great to hear the differing accents too.....
